Pirate Rico reports...
Dear FunPark fans,
What an adventure! I, your Pirate Rico, had the honour of taking part in the big anniversary run at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark last Saturday – the very first children’s run in our history. It was a day full of movement, fun, and beaming faces!
Around 150 children aged between 4 and 14 embarked on a sporty journey through our PLAYMOBIL worlds. I even got to join you for the warm-up and help loosen up those muscles – what a blast!
Then it was time: “1, 2, 3 – and off you go!” Depending on their age, the children tackled distances of 500, 950 or even 1,900 metres. Cheered on by families and other FunPark guests, the route led from the grand Knight’s Castle past Fairyland, the Police Station and the Mermaid Kingdom, before returning to the finish line at the castle.
As a reward for their sporting efforts, every child received a certificate and a medal – a proud moment for all our young athletes! The three fastest girls and boys in each age group were also honoured on the winners’ podium and celebrated with extra loud applause.
Our partners also provided a fantastic programme of games and fun to keep everyone entertained throughout this action-packed day.
So, once again, a huge thank you to all participants, families, partners – and of course, to my crew! We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our reporter families who shared live updates from the anniversary run on their social media channels. You truly made this day something special. The amazing atmosphere, the spirit of togetherness, and the joyful eyes of the children showed just how much fun being active together can be – all in line with our motto: “Play, Move, Explore!”
See you soon at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark,
Your Pirate Rico
