To kick off the Whitsun holidays, we invite you to a varied activity weekend at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark on 23 and 24 May 2026 – in celebration of today’s World Bee Day!
During the Bee Weekend, you can look forward to a hands‑on programme for the whole family:
- The information stand run by beefuture, our partner for bee protection and the care of the on‑site bee colonies, will offer insights into the fascinating world of bees from 11 AM to 5 PM on each day. Live demonstrations at the display honey extractor will show you how honey is produced – and of course you’ll be able to taste the sweet result.
- At our Bee Rally, you can test your knowledge and learn more about the life of bees, pollination, and biodiversity. Tip: The Bee Adventure Trail provides helpful clues to the answers! Participating children will receive a seed mix for their own wildflower meadow, and adults will benefit from a discount voucher for the neighbouring LECHUZA-Store in Zirndorf (while stocks last).
As an experienced partner in sustainable nature conservation, beefuture is helping to shape this year’s activity weekend. The organisation is committed to the active protection of bees and has been looking after the bee colony at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark since 2024, as well as 14 additional colonies on the neighbouring premises of the Horst Brandstätter Group, to which the FunPark belongs. The bees are cared for in a species‑appropriate manner by beefuture’s experienced beekeepers. The PLAYMOBIL all‑season honey produced is also available during the Bee Weekend at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark Shop.
