A bee-tastic start to the Whitsun holidays
As nature bursts into bloom all around us, the start of the Whitsun holidays this year will be all about bees and their role as pollinators. On World Bee Day, Monday 20 May, you can put your bee knowledge to the test in an exciting rally. There will also be craft activities, face painting and plenty more bee-themed fun to enjoy. World Bee Day was established by the United Nations in 2018 to raise awareness of bees and other pollinators, as well as their role for many wild and cultivated plants.
You can also learn more about these hardworking insects on our new Bee Experience Trail. Just in time for World Bee Day, additional stations will be completed, offering plenty of fascinating facts and discoveries. What exactly do bees do, how do they live, and how does honey end up in the jar? You can find out all this and more during your visit to the FunPark.
Make a note in your diary now: at the end of the second week of the Whitsun holidays, from 30 May to 2 June, everything at the FunPark will revolve around the theme of Space. More information will be coming soon!
