Dear FunPark fans,
I'm absolutely delighted because our golden treasure has finally arrived! This year, for the very first time, we are offering honey from our very own bee colonies. I've managed to secure 475 jars of the delicious honey for you, which are now exclusively available at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark in Zirndorf.
But this would not have been possible without our ‘Playmobil bees’: For the liquid gold, my busy employees had to fly to the incredible number of over 700 million blossoms. Pretty impressive, isn't it? These tiny insects play a role as pollinators for many plants. That is why the protection of bees and other pollinators is becoming increasingly important.
Bees at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark
In cooperation with beefuture, we welcomed the first bee colony to the FunPark in spring 2024. But you can do more than just watch the bees hard at work here. On our new bee adventure trail, you can also discover plenty of fascinating facts about bees, their role and the way they live. Have you visited the trail yet and met our bees?
In addition, four more bee colonies have been established on the green areas nearby the PLAYMOBIL-Hotel and the neighbouring administration building. Experienced beekeepers look after the Playmobil bees and regularly monitor their wellbeing. At regular intervals - approximately every fortnight during the summer - a beekeeper from beefuture has visited and inspected our bees.
And in late summer, the time had finally come: the first honey harvest was filled into jars. What an exciting moment!
A place to play for children - a habitat for animals and plants
Our 90,000 square metre park area is not only home to a Pirate Ship, Knight's Castle or unicorns for your next play adventure, but also filled with trees, shrubs and flowers. These areas can provide food sources as well as shelter and nesting opportunities for a variety of animal species. For the coming year, we are planning to increase the number of beehives to up to ten.
So if you love this golden treat as much as I do, you can already start looking forward to next year's honey harvest. But first, our little PLAYMOBIL bees will enjoy a well-earned winter rest, while I'll be back at the Winter Magic at the end of November with more fun and ice-skating action.
Exclusive offer: Our own PLAYMOBIL-FunPark honey
Our honey is now available in 150g jars for €3.99 at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark-Shop, at the HOB-Center information desk of the FunPark, and at the PLAYMOBIL-Hotel.

And if you'd like to slip into the role of a real bee expert yourself: Take our PLAYMOBIL beekeper home with you and immerse yourself in the world of beekeeping and honey harvesting.
See you soon at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark,
Rico
