In cooperation with Burgenstraße e.V., you can look forward to exciting information about castles, knights and medieval history. Spin the wheel of fortune for a chance to win great prizes or put your skills to the test with cannon shooting at the knights’ tournament area.

Would you like to find out how knights once lived? Or feel like a real princess for a day? Spend the night in a genuine castle? And enjoy lots of fun and adventure along the way? Then explore the Burgenstraße (Castle Road) together with your parents!
The Burgenstraße stretches from Heidelberg/Schwetzingen to Bayreuth, passing through northern Baden-Württemberg and the Franconian region of Bavaria. Along its 840 kilometres, you’ll discover more than 60 castles, palaces and ruins lined up one after another – perfect for stepping back in time! At its 45 attractions, exciting stories await about emperors and knights, margraves’ wives and townswomen.
There are also plenty of special activities for children and families, including interactive museums, guided tours for young and old, audio guides and treasure hunts, themed playgrounds, arts and crafts activities, and much more.
