Our busy FunPark bees: Little heroes on a big mission
Did you know that there are now a total of 15 beehives buzzing across the spacious outdoor areas of our company grounds? One of them is even located right inside the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark. These industrious bees are part of the Horst Brandstätter Group’s sustainability initiative. The PLAYMOBIL-FunPark, as part of the Group, proudly hosts one of the hives.
Since 2024, five bee colonies have been caring for the blossoms around the FunPark. And because it’s been going so well, ten more colonies joined them in spring. On our Bee Adventure Trail, you can even observe these little honey producers live and learn fascinating facts about their vital role in nature. For example, did you know that over 80% of native flowering plants depend on bees? That’s why it’s so important to protect these tiny heroes.
Our bees are cared for by the experienced team from beefuture, specialists in sustainable and nature-friendly beekeeping. They help companies actively contribute to biodiversity conservation.
By the way: For its commitment to sustainability and environmental education – especially through the Bee Adventure Trail – the Horst Brandstätter Group was awarded the Sustainability Prize of the Fürth district in July. Just one more reason to be proud of our PLAYMOBIL honey!
PLAYMOBIL-honey - exclusively available at the FunPark-Shop
You can now get the PLAYMOBIL all-season honey exclusively at the PLAYMOBIL-FunPark shop in Zirndorf for €4.49 per jar (while supplies last). A sweet golden treasure that doesn't only delight PLAYMOBIL pirates like our Rico - it also shows how much fun sustainability can be.
